Users Who Have Earned Credentials
Will I still have access to digital badges I’ve earned on the older Credly platform?
Yes. Credly will be preserving all of the digital badges you have earned on the older platform prior to September 1, 2020, and you will have ongoing access to those badges.
How do I preserve my digital badges?
All of your public badges as of September 1, 2020 will remain public, and will continue to be viewable and verifiable.
If you want to check if you have any hidden badges or make any changes, you can:
- Make sure the digital badges you want to be preserved are set to visible/public (Any badges marked as hidden will not be preserved).
- Complete this process before September 1, 2020.
How do I access my digital badges after September 1, 2020?
Credly will send you instructions via email starting in July 2020 on how to access your digital badges after Credly consolidates its platforms. All of your existing badge URLs will redirect to their new location and we’ll send you instructions so you have continued access to them.
How do preserved digital badges work?
Your current digital badges will be preserved on September 1, 2020.
With your preserved badge, you can continue to:
- Send people to view your badge via existing links
- Have your badge verified by viewers
- Download your badge
- Request deletion
With your preserved badge, you will no longer be able to:
- Share directly to social media (you can still share your badge url)
- View all of your badges on your profile page (each badge will have its own page)
What happens to digital badges I’ve shared?
Digital badges you have shared on social media, digital portfolios, email signatures, or other places online will continue to be available, viewable, and verifiable. All links to your digital badges will continue to work.
What if I want to delete my account?
Credly complies with the European Union’s General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR) in processing personal data of badge earners, and will continue to do so through this transition. If you want to delete your Credly account and its data, please contact us to submit a request.
